Mission position

Britain’s former Prime Minister Tony Blair landed in Kigali on 23 February on his mission to give ‘unpaid’ advice to the Rwandan government and to his ‘long standing friend’ President Paul Kagame on how to streamline government and attract investment. ‘I think the fascinating thing about Rwanda is that it’s a country that has been through a traumatic experience but has rebuilt itself,’ said Blair.
