Theatre, peace and votes in the Delta

The surrender of about 1,000 militants in the Niger Delta was superbly choreographed. With hundreds of guns behind him, Ebikabowei Victor Ben - better known as 'General Boyloaf '- took off his camouflage jacket to reveal a T-shirt reading 'peace is golden' before embracing Bayelsa State Governor Timipre Sylva, who helped negotiate the 60-day amnesty.
