Shuttling to Arabia

Arab governments'reactions to the Sudanese opposition's offensives have less to do with Sudan than with Israel and the United States. Many governments and newspapers echoed Khartoum's line: an attack on Sudan by Eritrea and Ethiopia, an attack on Islam by Zionists/infidels/'Western arrogance'; no mention of the mainly Northern Muslim National Democratic Alliance. Egypt disagreed; Jordan and Saudi Arabia later changed tack.
