Sudan

Khartoum comes to Kensington

A supporter of Sudan's President Omer Hassan Ahmed el Beshir in London has angered survivors of the Grenfell Tower fire. The 14 June blaze claimed at least 80 lives, including people from Egypt, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone and Sudan. Ibrahim Ali el Nur, a founder of the Sudan International Defence Group, set up to help prevent President Omer coming to trial at the International Criminal Court on charges of genocide and war crimes, invited survivors of the fire to a meeting of the 'Grenfell Victims & Survivor Trust' on 30 June at the nearby Westway Sports and Fitness Centre.
