On the trail

Pressure is mounting on the government to speed its probe into the Anglo Leasing affair and act against the Kenyan and foreign traders involved in it. The company was at the centre of lucrative deals under the previous government of President Daniel arap Moi. The identity of the beneficial owners of a chain of British companies linked to Anglo Leasing has been traced to a trust in Switzerland. Donor organisations (multilateral and bilateral) want to know more; so do some vigilant Kenyan politicians.
