Zuma blusters at Zondo

The former President failed to convince at the state capture commission, but Ramaphosa took hits from another quarter

The African National Congress breathed a collective sigh of relief – party insiders said – when the questioning of former President Jacob Zuma, who is facing multiple corruption allegations, was halted after he reached a behind-the-scenes deal with the presiding judge. Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, leading the 'state capture' commission, agreed Zuma could return at a future date and give answers to a set of written questions.
