Genocide manhunt goes on

After French police arrested one of the men accused of organising the 1994 genocide, relations between Paris and Rwanda are set to improve

Félicien Kabuga, who is accused of complicity in the Rwandan genocide and had been one of the world's most wanted fugitives, was arrested in the upmarket Parisian suburb of Asnières-sur-Seine on 16 May. Prosecutors have asked that he be transferred to the Hague, and then tried in Arusha, Tanzania. Kabuga's lawyer is resisting Kabuga's transfer from France, and has described as 'scandalous' prosecutors and press calling his client a génocidaire before he has been convicted.
