Across Africa, lockdowns are loosening even as Covid-19 continues its inexorable journey across the continent. As Johannesburg, Cairo and Lagos feel the heat, other cities and countries that expected a bumpier ride are wondering whether they have escaped the predicted catastrophe or are yet to experience one.
