Flying on empty

Uganda Airlines wants to buy six new mid-range airliners costing nearly US$500 million despite losing $146m since its re-launch in August 2019. The aviation trade press reported that Boeing, Airbus and other companies were wooing the government-owned airline for the contract for new aircraft to buy outright, rather than the cheaper option of leasing.
