The lavish and lengthy obsequies for President Hage Geingob, who died aged 82 on 4 February, turned out to be just an interlude in the drama on whether the ruling SWAPO Party can maintain its political dominance in the wake of damaging corruption scandals and a resurgent opposition. But the thriving market in 'green' minerals boosts investment and growth.
