Electoral roll on, roll off

President Robert Mugabe’s chances of holding elections acceptable to the Southern African Development Community before July have been dashed. This, however, owes more to the partisan zeal of his henchmen than to Morgan Tsvangirai’s wing of the Movement for Democratic Change. Prime Minister Tsvangirai has lobbied SADC for a postponement until agreed reforms, especially in security and media, are implemented.
