Biden's man moves on

United States President Joe Biden will lose his main Africa policy advisor, as Judd Devermont quits his position as Biden's special assistant on African affairs. Devermont, who was also Africa Director at the National Security Council at the White House, is joining Kupanda Capital, a private equity firm in Washington with a portfolio of four Africa-focused companies, including the Lagos-based music label Mavin Records, whose roster features some of the hottest Afrobeat stars.
